Highland Wood Wins Scottish EDGE Regional Award
17th Mar 2026
We’re incredibly proud to share some exciting news — Highland Wood has been named a Regional EDGE winner, securing funding to help accelerate our growth and continue building high-quality wooden garden products right here in Scotland.
The award is part of the Regional EDGE competition, a funding initiative designed to support ambitious entrepreneurs across Scotland with the potential to grow, create jobs and strengthen the economy.
A Huge Milestone for Highland Wood
Winning this award is a major step forward for our small family-run business. From humble beginnings crafting strong, durable planters using locally sourced Scottish timber, we’ve always believed that quality craftsmanship and sustainability can go hand-in-hand.
The Regional EDGE programme provides not only funding but also access to a network of mentors, investors and fellow entrepreneurs — helping businesses like ours develop faster and make a bigger impact.
What This Means for Our Customers
This funding will allow us to:
-
Invest in better equipment and production processes
-
Increase capacity to meet growing demand
-
Continue improving product quality and durability
-
Expand our range of premium wooden garden products
-
Create more opportunities within our local community
For us, this isn’t just about growth — it’s about building a long-term, sustainable Scottish business that customers can trust.
Representing the Highlands
As the regional top prize winner, Highland Wood will now go on to compete against winners from other regions for an additional national award, further highlighting the strength of entrepreneurship in the Highlands and Islands.
We’re proud to represent our region and demonstrate that high-quality manufacturing and innovation are thriving in rural Scotland.
